How is device-specific fit engineered?

Fit engineering begins with a contact map: where the product may be supported, where pressure must be avoided and how the user removes it. Clearance around lenses, temples, hinges and protruding components should be reviewed in the folded state and during insertion.

  • Support stable frame areas instead of loading lenses or delicate components.
  • Allow for normal product and material variation without making the device loose.
  • Keep zipper paths, seams and accessory hardware away from sensitive surfaces.
  • Review removal access so a secure fit does not become difficult to use.

What does charging-ready mechanical development include?

A case can organize a brand-supplied charging case, capsule, cable or adapter through a fitted recess, pocket, elastic retention or a separated compartment.
